Welcome
Open Source has exploded in popularity during the latter half of the 2010’s. An average codebase now consists of roughly 80% open source, line by line, and there is almost no company out there who is not using open source in their application development.
Following its rise to prominence a wave of open source based attacks against businesses has started to grow, with some high profile vulnerabilities being exploited, like the log4j vulnerability late last year. Luckily, tooling has come very far in protecting its users, enabling you to stay secure.
In this webinar we will talk about trends in open source and open source vulnerabilities, how to fix vulnerabilities when they show up and how to set up automated test cases in your CI/CD environment to prevent unwanted risk to ever show up in your codebase. We’ll also dive a bit deeper into other open source related risks such as legal compliance and dependence on the voluntary communities building and maintaining the projects.
